Requirements

Voice Butler runs on macOS 26 or later on a Mac with Apple silicon. On first launch it asks for Microphone, Speech Recognition, and Accessibility permissions, these let it hear the hotkey, transcribe on-device, and type text into your apps.

Trial and licensing

Voice Butler is free to use for 14 days, no account needed.
After the trial, enter a license key in Settings to keep dictating. A license is a one-time purchase.
One license activates on more than one Mac. Moving to a new Mac? Use Deactivate in Settings on the old one to free a slot.
Lost your key? Email us and we'll resend it.

Updates

Voice Butler updates itself. Use Check for Updates… from the menu to update immediately, or let it check on its own.
